The Parts Supervisor is responsible for controlling daily operations of our parts department, maintaining current customer relationships and build new customers and relationships. Monitor and maintain inventory per company and OEM needs and requirements. Accountable for physical inventory control at Oshkosh location. Maintain and continue to develop a rewarding and motivating work environment promoting teamwork and performance improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintains an inventory control and reporting system that assures stocking levels are sufficient to meet customer demands; maximize turnover; and minimize inventory investment and obsolescence.

  • Coordinates and assists with the physical inventory procedures.

  • Assists the dealer/General Manager with the development and maintenance of relationships with customers, manufacturers, suppliers, vendors, and industry associations.

  • Develops annual budget and goals for parts departments

  • Drive measurable results, including department sales, profit, costs, productivity, obsolescence, fill rate, etc.

  • Ensure compliance with proper operational procedures, routines, and workflow at Oshkosh location

  • Grow outside parts sales at Oshkosh location

  • Establishes price matrix, escalators, and individual pricing structures necessary for superior customer satisfaction.

  • Promotes dealership standards of integrity and honesty.

  • Creates a rewarding and motivating work environment promoting teamwork and performance improvement.

  • Ensures that parts personnel receive required training.

  • Coordinates monthly parts meetings and General Manager.

  • Troubleshoots inter-department issues within Oshkosh location the parts department.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job requirements

 What We’re Looking For

  • Knowledge of heavy/medium duty truck and trailer parts.

  • Knowledge of physical inventory control procedures.

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Ability to lead and develop a team as well as hold team members accountable to high standards

  • Computer literate with knowledge of spreadsheet software.

  • Comprehension of the business operations of a parts department; supply and demand, pricing structures, etc.
