We represent Western Star, Autocar, and XCMG, and are certified in Detroit, Cummins, CAT, Allison, and Detroit Transmissions & Axles. Our Oshkosh location is expanding, and we’re looking for a Diesel / Alignment Technician who takes pride in their craft and wants to work in a clean, modern, and supportive environment.

DAY SHIFT MONDAY - FRIDAY 7:00am - 3:30pm

What You’ll Do

  • Determines necessary mechanical, electrical, or other areas that need repair to meet the customer’s expectations.

  • Perform new vehicle PDI’s (pre delivery vehicle inspection). Inspect new vehicles looking for any missing or damaged parts. Check and verify all operations of vehicle components are working as they should. Follow detailed PDI work sheets and fill them out as checks are completed. 

  • Install accessories to new customer trucks. Such as drop visors, bug shields, window chops, wheel chrome, lighted cab skirts, chrome air intake screens, ect… 

  • Program truck to fit customer requirements and operational needs.

  • Diagnose steering, suspension, and driveline issues as well as repair/replacement of components.

  • Perform Computerized Wheel Alignments and on vehicle Wheel Balancing

  • Repair vehicles involved in accidents, bringing back to pre-accident condition

  • Frame Straightening vehicles involved in crashes

  • Correctly complete all forms, timecards, parts requests, or any other documents associated with repairs.

  • Represent Quality Truck Care Center in a professional manner, remaining friendly and courteous in all customer and coworker interactions.

  • Wear proper personal protective equipment to protect you from injury.

  • Keep work areas clean and free of clutter.

  • Stay current with technical literature and training requirements.

  • Perform Preventative Maintenance in accordance with company procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job requirements

What We’re Looking For

·         Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License (CDL preferred)

·         High school diploma or equivalent

·         Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills

·         Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform hands-on tasks safely

·         Dependable, motivated, and committed to quality work
