Quality Truck Care Center is a Family-owned business in The Fox Valley since 1986! We represent Western Star, Autocar and XCMG. Certified in Detroit, Cummins, CAT engines, Allison and Detroit Transmissions and Axles.

 

Our Oshkosh location is currently looking for a Body Installation and Repair Technician to join our Oshkosh team.

Position Summary:

 

Upfit chassis for Dump Body Installation, Installation of Dump Body and related components. Repair/recondition Vehicles, Bodies and related Components. Provide service and repair on upfit units and customer units.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·         Maintain Quality Truck Care Center quality and customer service expectations

·         Perform welding and fabrication for upfit and installation of dump bodies

·         Install, Diagnose, Repair electrical wiring and pneumatics for lighting and controls

·         Install. Diagnose, Repair, hydraulic pump’s, pto’s, hoses etc.

·         Safely operate the overhead crane, forklift etc.

·         Diagnose and Repair Hydraulic systems, Electrical systems.

·         Modify bodies as needed to meet customer expectations

·         Notify the manager of situations that may affect job quality or time allotted

·         Wear proper personal protective equipment to protect yourself and others from injury

·         Assists other technicians as requested by supervisor.

·         Completes paperwork in accordance with company policy.

·         Will attend vendor training as requested by supervisor.

·         Maintain shop equipment for safe operation

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

Job requirements

Required Qualifications: 

  • Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License, CDL—a Plus

  • Previous Welding, Hydraulic and Electrical Experience (preferred)

  • Ability to safely operate power tools and machinery

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to talk and hear

  • Ability to walk up and down one full flight of stairs to reach office areas, storage rooms and meeting rooms

  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel and to manipulate

  • Ability to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, push or pull

  • Ability to see with close vision

  • Ability to communicate with others verbally (telephone and in person) and in written communication methods (handwritten and electronic correspondence)

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist and carry

  • Ability to drive an automobile

 

Work Environment: 

The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.  The employee is exposed to dirt, dust and fumes from the shop, as well as temperature changes due to the weather.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
